It is surprising to see the number of make money online (MMO) blogs out there. As to the number of blogs, a bulk tend to be grouped around technology and MMO. Making money online seems easy, and that is why people gravitate toward it. Start up a web site and the money comes rolling in like all the dotcom millionaires one sees on CNBC and Danny Deutsch. Same reason people gravitate to real estate, again it seems easy. Buy a house low and sell high. Like so many things, I have come to realize that things may be simple but not easy.
Simple but not easy is my philosophy that making money is usually simple to understand. Even Warren Buffett says that all his deals can be handle with fifth grade math. The difference is that it still takes work. Someone is going to have to do the work of making the project go.
That is were most people crap out. Not realizing that work is involved in the simple plan to make money. Have a cousin that went to the Canadian Yukon for a year to mine for gold. Very Jack London. After a year of panning, digging, and sluicing she made about $25,000 (this was the early Eighties). So, after a year in the wilderness, she and her husband made about a year’s worth of income. This trend is similar with other making money endeavors, most people who honestly work at it, make about what they put into it. Seeing this time and again, I have come to conclude it is never the system but the energy put into the endeavor.
What happens is that we hear and see stories of the individuals who have made thousands and they of course make it sound easy. Not knowing just how much time and energy they put into it. These are the businesses that worked ten years to become an overnight success. Also, be wary of hearing business success stories because the media is also littered with businesses that soon closed after being featured as a success story. Appearances can be deceiving.
Ultimately, knowing that simple doesn’t mean easy will keep one in the game. Gotta keep playing to win. And knowing that improved results come with improved (greater amount of) work.

Never thought of things like that before, but it seems true.
